Chapter one is complete. Only a month or so from the beginning of life, our little Thin Mint is now a proper looking plover, preparing for the journey of a lifetime. Any day now our very own, LBI born and raised piping plover will embark on the long trip south, exploring the east coast along the way. Come spring we will turn the page to the rest of the story, hoping to find that green band combo once more on our beloved shorelines.
Farewell for now, Thin Mint. The Bahamas are waiting!
