To Nourish the Many

Project Concept.

“Bird-friendly ranching,” by definition, means habitat integrity through regenerative grazing, biodiversity of native plant communities, rebuilding of soil and conservation of water, all measured by the health and productivity of birdlife throughout North America’s rangelands.

In Matt Skoglund’s case, bird-friendly ranching also means providing a critical winter food source; the remains of field-harvested bison feed the masses of scavenging ravens, magpies and eagles.

To Nourish the Many explores the infinite possibilities that bison provide to both our human and wild communities in Southwest Montana and beyond.
