A Wild Livelihood

 A Wild Livelihood

On the remarkably beautiful doorstep of Yellowstone National Park, Montanans from all walks of life make their living. For some, Yellowstone is the direct source of their income - naturalist guides, educators, restaurateurs - and for others, the vast, undeveloped spaces, healthy waterways and thriving natural ecosystem beyond the border of the park is what allows business to boom. Regardless of the who, whether it be the rancher, fishing guide, or hunting outfitter, there is one thing that all can agree upon: it is the place itself that enables this way of life to work, and the diversity of individuals in Paradise Valley are what make it so unique. Together, they must work carefully to ensure their voices are heard, and that the future is approached with responsible decision-making across all facets of life in both wild and human communities.
